Small classes with professional, enthusiastic staff get kids excited about snow sports. Pioneers receive age- and ability-appropriate instruction and care. Pioneers must be 3 years old, potty trained and willing to participate.
Lift access is complimentary for children age 4 and under and is included in your lesson ticket.
One of our professional ski/snowboard instructors specializing in early childhood development will provide your preschooler with a safe, fun learning environment.
| Who is the Lesson For | Pioneer lessons are for 3- and 4-years old skiers and snowboarders. Pioneers must be willing to participate, potty trained, and able to communicate their bathroom needs. All children participating in Ski & Snowboard lessons must be wearing underwear. Disposable diapers/pull-ups of any kind are NOT permitted. |

Pioneer staff are specially trained in early childhood development as well as ski and snowboard instruction. They will provide your children with a fun lesson while aligning with our safety focus. |

What to Bring |
Children’s equipment rentals are available at JH Sports. Please allow 1 hour for the rental process. Or bring properly fitted (and adjusted) skis/boards and boots that you have already arranged. JCards should be in a safe pocket. Extra clothes should be labeled and given to Kids Ranch staff at registration, They will be stored in a cubby easily accessed by our instructors. Don't forget gloves or goggles. |

| Where to Meet | Pioneer lesson check-in is at the front lobby of the Kids Ranch. Relevant information, and gear will be taken by staff, and then skiers are whisked away for their day of fun and learning. |

Want to get your little one started on snow the right way? Our small, curated Pioneer Private (3-4 year olds only) is the way to do it. Take advantage of our early-childhood trained staff and child dedicated Mountain Sports School facility. By prioritizing safety, fun, and learning we will provide your preschooler with an experience tailored to their ability, age and energy level. Lunch (for full day Pioneers Privates) and snow-angel making included! Because our littlest adventurers learn differently than other ages, the group size of pioneer privates is limited to 2 people.
Private lessons offer individualized coaching, lift line priority, and flexible meeting times and locations.

Guests can cancel without penalty if more than 24 hours’ notice is given.
If cancellation occurs within 24 hours, a 50% cancellation fee will apply.

Please consider canceling as soon as you know you will not be able to take the lesson. Our instructors only earn money when they work, and it is difficult to reschedule them from last minute cancelations.
