Explorer Ski & Snowboard Lessons | Ages 8-14

High-altitude adventures tailored to 8 to 14-year-old skiers and snowboarders of all ability levels. Explorers build technical skills by exploring the racecourse, terrain park and Jackson Hole's legendary big mountain terrain with specially trained instructors. The all-day program promotes a fun, positive learning environment and team building.

Due to limited availability, we recommend you purchase your lift access at the same time you purchase your lesson to ensure you will have lift access for all of your lesson days. If lift tickets are sold out, please call 877-482-1466 and have your order number confirming your lesson purchase ready when calling to secure lift tickets. There are no waitlists for Mountain Sports School lessons.

What to Bring

Children’s equipment rentals are available at JH Sports. Please allow 1 hour for the rental process. Or bring properly fitted (and adjusted) skis/boards and boots that you have already arranged. Lift ticket should be in a safe pocket. Don't forget gloves or goggles.
Where to Meet

Explorer lessons meet outside of Solitude Station, at the BLUE FLAGS located at the mid station of the Sweetwater Gondola.

Private lessons offer individualized coaching, lift line priority, and flexible meeting times and locations.

Cancellation Policy

Guests can cancel without penalty if more than 24 hours’ notice is given.

If cancellation occurs within 24 hours, a 50% cancellation fee will apply.

Please call our Mountain Sports School at 877-590-2490 for any cancellations.

Please consider canceling as soon as you know you will not be able to take the lesson. Our instructors only earn money when they work, and it is difficult to reschedule them from last minute cancelations.
